Talisa Timms
Continuous Improvement Specialist
Talisa Timms joined CI in 2022. She has dedicated her life to empowering youth through education, and started her career as an elementary school teacher with a passion for cultivating inclusive environments for children to learn and explore their identities. She was able to do this work more intentionally when she left the classroom and became the Cultural Identity Teacher Collaborator at KairosPDX. Her work in this role allowed her to create spaces for educators to engage with their racial identity development, facilitate anti-racist trainings, and organize opportunities for children to celebrate and advocate for themselves and others. Talisa serves on the board of Y.O.U.th and is a part of their DEI facilitation team.
She is a native of Phoenix, Arizona, and graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in Elementary Education. In her free time, Talisa enjoys eating good food with family and friends, attending outdoor events, lifting weights, writing poetry, listening to music, and hanging out with her dog, Nori.
