Heather Ohta
Major Gifts & Grants Manager
Heather Ohta (she/her) is a career nonprofit professional with over a decade of experience in the field of fundraising and philanthropy. She brings a passion for building relationships with people and developing trust through authentic connection.
Born and raised in Oregon, Heather returned to the Pacific Northwest in 2012 after a decade in the Bay Area and has loved getting to know and explore her home state as an adult.
Since returning, she has worked at several local nonprofits, helping connect community members to their missions and develop sustainable networks, and she is happy to be at Children’s Institute stewarding the incredible supporters and advocates for CI’s work.
Heather earned a B.S. in Psychology from Santa Clara University and an M.P.A. from Portland State University.
